victoria "vicky" poloskun (she/it) is an unmotivated "raccoonlike girlfailure" who holds a deep sense of guilt for the burden she is on others, and for leaving her younger sister to fend for themself against their mom. she crashes on her older brother's couch and he functions as her full time carer and best friend. she struggles to make social connections, but she tries to be a nice person. drinking monster energy is her only hobby, but she dabbles in DIY to alter the clothes she steals from a dumpster. it does this to be less reliant on its brother, but it also works out fashion-wise for its punk tastes.
vinny poloskun (he/him) is a substitute teacher and full time taxidermist who sells his works at local flea markets. he cares a lot about nature and loves music and DIY. he cares and takes full financial responsibility for his mother, and both of his younger sisters. while he has never seen this as a burden; trying as hard as he can to make sure all of his loved ones are happy often comes at the expense of his own physical and mental health. he knows he needs to take care of himself, but he also knows it would hurt him more to see his family struggle without him than it does to keep up this massive workload.
marsy poloskun (they/xe/she) is a fully self sufficient agender highschooler who holds a deep hatred for all the people and things that put xem in xer current position. xe mainly target this towards their mother-- who drove away their older sister and ruined their relationship. she works as hard as she can to take care of herself and also succeed in school, where she has a tight knit friendgroup who can help control xer angry outbursts. in rare moments of relaxation, they enjoy playing games with their friends and listening to music.
william "yam" mitchell (he/they) is a videogame enthusiast and anxious wreck. the nickname "yam" comes from their little brother dev, and was picked up by all of yam's friends and family. their mother is very controlling and authoritarian while still neglecting all of his medical needs. one such medical need is his suspected ASD, and his requests to see a mental health professional; all denied. the constant surveillance has led yam to a state of constant anxiety and paranoia, and he spends most of his time playing videogames to avoid leaving his room. his entire fashion sense is dictated by sensory accessibility and the color green.
kade hendrie (any pronouns) is an outgoing genderfluid scene queen. living with their grandparents, their access to modern technology is limited to a an old PC and a flip phone. they want to be friends with everyone always, and can sometimes be too trusting and naiive. no matter how many times they are hurt or betrayed, they will always give people the benefit of the doubt. they have a ton of interests to the point they struggle to remember them all... but they always enjoy creating art and having company!

lavender tsukimori (she/her -> he/vamp) is a goth artist. he looks up to and is jealous of his older sister, who is also his best friend. as he has grown, he has indeed lived up to be what he loves about her. he is a good older brother figure that many look up to. he was once quite sarcastic and insecure; but ever since he has gained a sort of melancholic confidence. he is currently studying literature and trying to make a life for himself.
floris tsukimori (she/her) is loving, gentle, and the wonderful oldest sister out of 5. she didnt really have an opportunity to socialize for most of her childhood and lacks in maturity and social skills because of it, but her younger siblings still see her as wise and grown up. the only sibling that can see her flaws is her sister lavender, who is also her best friend. she loves her family, but often loses sight of them and behaves selfishly not of her own will. she has a blog that she uses to post about her life and long struggle with mental illness. she has been in and out of hospitals trying to recover, and truly wants to recover; but still struggles heavily. she loves programming, poetry, and does everything in her power to be a good role model.
miriam barnes (they/them) often feels like a shell of a person. their life consists entirely of work and dangerous coping strategies that never work. they are diagnosed autistic and feel like other people are all aliens, and have never been able to communicate their feelings (or lack thereof) to anyone including themself. no doctor theyve ever seen has been able to help, and as far as miriam is concerned thats because they are a different species. they pay their mother a very marked up rent as repayment for all of medical expenses they created as a child. they weren't their fault, but their mother sees it as such. their only goal in life is pay off their debt to their mother; they have no idea what will happen after that.
